An American Idiot

Some of you don’t watch Nascar and that’s fine. But this post has nothing to do with Nascar. Ok, maybe just a hair. What I want to really show you is a freakin idiot, just in case you haven’t seen one.

See that guy in the picture above? His name is Kyle Busch. He is probably the most hated race car driver in all of Nascar. Heck, he’s probably the most hated racer in all racing. His douchebaggery is undoubted by all those who follow the sport. It has nothing to do with his driving, which at times can be great, it’s him. So what has got me all upset with him?

See that guitar he is throwing down on the ground. That was the trophy for the Saturday night Nationwide Series race in Nashville. I was watching it, cause I’m boring like that. So he wins, and he get’s this wonderfully painted Gibson Les Paul, which I hear is worth close to 10,000 dollars and smashes it on the floor. He was such a wimp, or the guitar is so well built, that he could not smash it on the first try. But the second try was the heartbreaker, he killed it, then passed it to his crew where they further destroyed it.

Firstly, I have always dreamed of owning a real upscale guitar. I always wondered how beautiful there tones are. How awesome the electronics. The feel of the neck. I’m not the only one either. I bet there are thousands of people just like me. It broke my heart to see him totally disrespect that guitar like that. Not to mention how the artist who painted it must have felt. (Sam Bass)

Secondly, we are in a deep recession. Families are losing their homes. People have lost their jobs. It really is a tough time for everyone, how dare the rich throw that in our face by smashing something that could have been sold at auction. An auction to feed the needy or something. Ten thousand dollars worth of guitar could buy quite a few families groceries right?

Third, since when is it ok for the winner of a sport to smash the trophy. Thats kind of disrespectful to the sport isn’t it? I have never seen the Stanley Cup smashed and I would not want to be in the stadium if someone did smash it.

Yes ladies and gentleman, this guy to me is an American Idiot.

Very sad idiot, I don’t even want to say he is American, he has disrespected American values, with that stupid action. And I don’t understand why people could applaud at such moments, maybe they are also idiots.

I’m with you 100%. If he had no interest in the guitar, he could have donated it to a charity to raise big bucks for those less fortunate.

    Wow & Why?
I understand the excitement of victory …
But geez louise, that was incredibly disrespectful of him!

I didn’t like him before and now I truly despise the creep. How dare he treat a trophy like that. Does he have so little regard for the sport and the hosting track then to do something like that. He should have been suspended. Better yet, ban the jerk!

  7. desperateblogger Says:

what his point in smashing the guitar? is it some protest act for one noble cause or he’s just too full of himself. i guess the latter. idiot to the core!

Hey there. He’s a douche bag. First and foremost, for smashing a one of kind guitar. Second, for smashing his trophy. Never in my life would I smash something that was awarded me for being the most bad ass at that moment. I don’t watch NASCAR, quite frankly, I don’t even consider it a sport, but I know it takes skill to maneuver the field to take first place. On that day, he came out on top. Then to smash it, man… That guy is dead to me. He’s no American in my book.
